This month we are delighted to spotlight a special new show featuring the faces of the new US - paintings from a refugee center in Chicago where Pam Ingalls visited to paint immigrants and refugees. She painted over 45 portraits, titling the show "Facing the New US - Portraits of Refugees and Immigrants".

Pam described her experience:  "A dear friend of mine teaches English at a refugee center called Heartland Alliance in Chicago. I went to meet and paint the refugees she works with, and to hear a bit about their lives. It was a wonderful experience to meet them - and especially to paint all those beautiful faces. These people gave me hope. As I do with all of my portrait shows, each of the people I've painted will receive a print of their painting, and a percentage of the proceeds if their painting happens to sell. A percentage will also go to Heartland Alliance."
