Master Encaustic painter, Willow Bader doesn't use a traditional pallet for her lively paintings, instead she finds an electric griddle, brushes and a propane torch suit quite nicely for her hot pigmented wax paintings.  An ancient medium, encaustic painting is without question the most difficult of all techniques to master, and Willow’s detailed figuratives and interiors leave even the most experienced encaustic artists in disbelief of her skill.

In her newest show Willow brings us a collection of tango dancers, instrumental pieces and elegant restaurant scenes. With themes surrounding the evening out, dance, music, food and wine with friends, her rich colors and sense of life within the paintings make us feel as though we are part of these moments, and remind us to enjoy dinner, music and dance with our own friends.
