Willow Bader

Willow Bader always knew she was an artist. She was born in Washington State and grew up drawing and creating. She moved to Philadelphia in 1998 to study at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.  The academy generously awarded her prizes and grants including the Scheidt Travel which took her to Europe for the first time to see art and architecture.

After living and showing in Philadelphia, she returned to the Pacific Northwest to continue her art career. She currently shows with Cole Gallery in Edmonds Washington, Dean Day Gallery in Houston, and Edward Montgomery Fine Art in Carmel California.  Her painting studio in Seattle is always open to visitors.

Willow's dynamic work unites modern figurative subject matter with traditional mediums. The ancient painting medium of encaustic lends itself to the physicality and boldness of her work.

As an artist who continues to find dancers and music and the evening out an inspiration, Willow’s future interests are in the exposure of her work nationally and internationally.  View an interview featuring Willow from Art Zone, TV show here:  https://seattlechannel.org/ArtZone/segments?videoid=x145794
